Walking Works Walk Champion Training

WALKING WORKS IS OUR PROGRAMME FOR EMBEDDING THE CULTURE OF WALKING INTO WORKPLACES.

Our Walk Champion Training equips staff with the tools and expertise to inspire and encourage colleagues to embrace workplace wellbeing through walking. As a qualified Workplace Walk Champion, participants will have a wealth of knowledge on how everyone can make walking a part of their working day.

Walk Champions will be supported through the training to develop and deliver a year-round calendar of walking activities, all designed to encourage everyone to walk more. Following the training, Walk Champions will gain exclusive access to our hub of resources to help inspire colleagues, including posters, shareables and additional support.

Please note that Walk Champion Training sessions are delivered online via Microsoft Teams. All upcoming sessions can be viewed and selected via the dropdown below. The price is per participant.

Walking Works Walk Leader Training

WALKING WORKS IS OUR PROGRAMME FOR EMBEDDING THE CULTURE OF WALKING INTO WORKPLACES.

Training staff as Walk Leaders with Living Streets is an effective way to incorporate
the culture of walking in a workplace, boosting mental health and productivity.

Living Streets’ one-day Walk Leader Training helps individuals to feel
confident when planning and delivering led walks. Following the training,
participants will have an understanding of how they can:

  • Help people discover and make the best of their local area on foot
  • Give people the confidence to walk on their own as well as in a group
  • Welcome as many people as possible by keeping walks accessible
  • Show how easy, enjoyable, and sociable walking can be
  • Demonstrate all the benefits of walking
  • Help make the case for improving the places people walk

Walk Leader Training is offered as a one-day session for 8-10 people in a venue
provided by your organisation. Upon order, a member of staff will contact you to
schedule your session.

If you would like to find out more or discuss your requirements, please don't hesitate to get in touch via walkingworks@livingstreets.org.uk
